Photographer: Robb Koscho
Philosophy: Photography is meant to represent the client. The clients' images should be unique to the client, not a cookie cutter background like every other image. Utilizing the outdoors as a background and/or props, along with adding the clients' personal interests and hobbies is how I achieve the end result. We utilize creative thinking with a good eye for aesthetics and the ability to use sound judgment in implementing out-of-the-box ideas to constantly provide you with fresh and not so common photographs. Style Utilizing the subjects' interests and hobbies as a background and/or props with a journalistic view. Technique: Prefer the "Old School" mentality of photography. Film is used for all black and white images. Digital Photography and Photoshop is used as a studio. Photoshop is used in only ways that could be done in a real world studio (i.e. cropping, dodging, burning, etc.). If I do utilize Photoshop for anything else, I make them known to the viewer (i.e. black and white, sepia, montages, etc.) Background: Formerly Jack Koscho's private field assistant, I have over 21 years of photography experience, and shooting professionally since 2002. Starting photography at the age of 12, I have experience in journalism, studio, and layout. My work has been used for photojournalism, advertising, creative arts, and anywhere in between. Although my formal education was not in photography but in Graphic Design, I have learned how to integrate my 2 loves, while having a passion for the fine arts. My attention to detail and looking for the shot outside of the shot has won several acclaims from my peers. I am currently pursuing my quest of working on my first book entitled "The Big C". It is a photographic look at cancer patients, survivors, their families, the doctors, and those surviving loss. Publications Images have been in print and electronic media, such as concert coverage for U2tours.com and ETS Tours. My images have been used as product photography for Jackalope Lakeside, and Lorain Lighthouse Restoration Committee. Kite Publishing used a photo for its book ?Elevate Me Here?, and constantly provides imagery to LorainCounty.com. |
